Conversely, high levels of tandem-repeat galectins (galectin-4 or galectin-9) predicted both better OS (HR, 0.63; 95% CI 0.46–0.86, Fig. 2b) and DFS (HR, 0.63; 95% CI 0.48–0.83, Fig. 2c) in pancreatic cancer. The gene discussed is LGALS9; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
