The current study also identified the gain of 12q15 as the most frequent event in DDLPS (Fig. 1e) and notably distinguished MDM2, CPM, and SLC35E3 as the most consistently and greatly duplicated genes in this region (Supplementary Fig. 3), indicating that the simultaneous gain of MDM2, CPM, and SLC35E3 is a crucial step during the development of DDLPS. This evidence concerns the gene CPM and dedifferentiated liposarcoma.
