Clinically, HAE-C1-INH is characterized by relapsing swelling of the skin (limbs, face, genitals), gastrointestinal episodes (painful abdominal cramps, possibly circulatory symptoms, vomiting, diarrhea), and edemas of the larynx and other organs [9, 19, 23].
