These data demonstrate that acute exposure to e‐cig aerosols containing PG and PG with nicotine in a human 3D model of EpiAirway tissue promotes differential release of pro‐inflammatory mediators, such as IL‐6, IL‐8, and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in the normal (healthy) versus diseased state (COPD). Here, IL6 is linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
