CDK15 gene maps to chromosome 2q33.1 and has an important paralog gene, CDK14. A recent research found that Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) integration into the introns can decrease the expression of CDK15 gene in nasopharyngeal carcinomas, implicating that downregulation of CDK15 may contribute to tumor development (44). The gene discussed is CDK15; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
