Studies showed downregulation of FOXP2 in breast cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma and gastric cancer biopsies (16–18), while overexpression of FPXP2 was found in multiple myelomas, MGUS (Monoclonal Gammopathy of Undetermined Significance), several subtypes of lymphomas, osteosarcoma, neuroblastomas, and ERG fusion-negative prostate cancers (19–21). Here, FOXP2 is linked to lymphoma.
