The group of Fanburg has shown in several publications that upregulated TG2 in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) serotonylates fibronectin in pulmonary arteries and thereby contributes to the disease pathogenesis (Liu et al., 2011; Penumatsa K. C. et al., 2014; Penumatsa and Fanburg, 2014; Liu et al., 2011). The gene discussed is FN1; the disease is pulmonary arterial hypertension.
