The accuracy for separating stable CAD patients with and without a new ischemic event increased from 67 to 80% by adding MT-COI and STRN to established cardiovascular risk factors age, gender, (ex)-smoking, BMI, blood pressure, type-2 diabetes, HDL- and LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides and hs-C-reactive protein.
