PANX1 mRNA levels were up-regulated in basal-like TNBC tissues (N = 11) and in HER2− (N = 15) and HER2+ (N = 11) breast cancer subtypes, as compared to normal breast tissue obtained from subjects who underwent reduction mammoplasty; though statistical significance was only reached in the HER2– subtype with p < 0.05 (Figure 1D).
