Taken together, TIPE2 is involved in the positive regulation of tobacco-mediated lung carcinogenesis via enhanced proliferation, survival, and migration through inflection of NF-κB and NF-κB-regulated gene products which are responsible for growth, proliferation, survival, invasion, migration, and metastasis of lung cancer cells (Figure 5D, Figure 6D, Figure 7D and Figure 8D). The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is lung cancer.
