Gastric adenocarcinoma associated, positive CD44 regulator, long intergenic non-coding RNA (GAPLINC) is also upregulated in GC tissues and associated with poor prognosis; moreover, it is directly activated by HIF-1α at the transcriptional level in GC, with GAPLINC knockdown suppressing hypoxia-induced tumor growth in vivo [42]. Here, GAPLINC is linked to gastric cancer.
