Given the importance of studying the role of vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids as anticancer agents, and because the effect of co-supplementation with them on clinical outcomes of patients with CRC is not clear, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids co-supplementation on inflammatory biomarkers, tumor marker CEA, and nutritional status in patients with CRC. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and colorectal carcinoma.
