Deming et al. analyzed the MTN pathway gene's polymorphisms in human breast cancer patients, and they supported that AA genotype of MTNR1b rs10765576 was associated with a decreased risk of breast cancer, the GG genotype in premenopausal women correlated with an increased risk for breast cancer, and however, in postmenopausal women, the GG genotype were related with a decreased risk of breast cancer; they did not observe any significant breast cancer associations for variants in the AANAT gene [24].
