Interestingly, TWS119 treatment significantly enhanced the area (8.90% ± 0.84% versus 13.78% ± 1.12%, P < 0.01, Fig. 3b) at day 21 after stroke, and the density (93.54 ± 10.53 versus 121.46 ± 8.15 cells/mm2, P < 0.05; 120.64 ± 10.56 versus 160.46 ± 8.15 cells/mm2, P < 0.05, Fig. 3c) of CD31-positive vessels at days 14 and 21 in ischemic mice compared with saline treatment. This evidence concerns the gene PECAM1 and stroke disorder.
