It has been reported that PLCD1 restrains the proliferation, invasion, and migration of pancreatic cancer cells CAPAN‐1 and BXPC‐3, and induces apoptosis through cell cycle inhibition at the G0/G1 phase.48 The prognostic significance of PLCD1 in PDAC was not revealed through this investigation, but its role as a tumor suppressor gene in breast cancer, chronic myeloid leukemia, and colorectal cancer has been widely accepted.48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57. Here, PLCD1 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
