Hypophysitis is more commonly associated with cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4) inhibitors, such as ipilimumab, whereas thyroid disorders are more common in patients receiving antibodies against programmed cell death-1 receptor (anti-PD-1) such as Pembrolizumab and Nivolumab [16]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and hypophysitis.
