Consistent with our findings, Xing et al. also reported that miR-155 inhibitors could reduce the cell apoptosis via targeting Ras homolog enriched in brain (Rheb) to decrease the infarction size of rats with ischemic stroke (28), which partially suggested that the protective role of anti-miR-155 in I/R injury would be performed through reducing myocardial cell apoptosis. This evidence concerns the gene RHEB and infarction.
