The resulting CI was much less than 1 (0.38 in HN12 cells and 0.47 in HN17 cells) when HNSCC cells were co-treated with capivasertib and saracatinib at 5 μM each drugs for 3 days, suggesting that additional AKT blockade by capivasertib to saracatinib has the potential to produce a strong synergistic effect.
