We also detected downregulation of ZNF667 in esophageal cancer cells and ESCC tissues, and overexpression of ZNF667 could inhibit the viability, migration, and invasion of esophageal cancer cells, suggesting that ZNF667 may act as tumor-suppressor gene in ESCC occurrence and development. This evidence concerns the gene ZNF667 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
