In the present study, by establishing the TAMs-breast cancer cells co-culture system in vitro and breast cancer xenografts in vivo, we systematically demonstrated that XPS could suppress M2 phenotype polarization as well as CXCL1 expression and secretion, which eventually led to the inhibitory effect of XPS on the self-renewal of breast CSCs. The gene discussed is CXCL1; the disease is breast carcinoma.
