The final bioinformatic analysis of the urine proteome of dogs with babesiosis indicated that at least eight proteins (IL-13, bone morphogenetic protein 7, α2(1) collagen, tyrosine –protein kinase Fer, calcitonin receptor-stimulating peptide 2, insulin/insulin-like growth factor, ral guanine nucleotide dissociation stimulator-like 2 and T cell surface glycoprotein CD3 epsilon chain) are related to parasitic invasions and renal inflammatory responses. This evidence concerns the gene RGL2 and babesiosis.
