NCAM1 and cancer: Based on observed positive and negative association between particular cell-based immune markers, we constructed peripheral blood immunograms with putative anticancer effectors in upper part of an immunogram (namely, total lymphocytes, effector cytotoxic T-cells, CD56+ CD3+ NKT-like cells, γδ T-cells), and on the other hand, cancer-promoting or immunosuppressive actors (namely, NLR, M-MDSC, Tregs) and related factors (activated T-cells and NK cells) in the lower part of an immunogram (Figure 3).
