IL17A and asthma: As we observed a negative association between the relative miR-146a expression and the number of neutrophils present in the airways and reduced neutrophil migration towards the supernatants of HBECs transfected with miR-146a and stimulated with TNF-α or IL-17A, our data suggest that miR-146a is capable of inhibiting the production of neutrophil chemoattractants also in the airways of patients with asthma.
