WISP-1, also known as CCN4, contributes to tumorigenesis [33], is a predictor of poor survival [34] and is expressed at high levels not only in OSCC, but also in several other types of cancer, including esophageal cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and osteosarcoma [34,35,36]. This evidence concerns the gene CCN4 and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
