Our findings indicated that Rpl10a-deficient zebrafish had reduced hemoglobin levels but increased the expression of tp53. While Torihara et al. (2011) indicated that in Rps19 deficiency, the Tp53-independent pathway is more important for the anemia phenotype, the morphological abnormalities were dependent on Tp53 activation27. This evidence concerns the gene RPS19 and anemia (phenotype).
