ARF6 and cancer: Consistent with the previous studies showing that the ARF6-CA mutant suppresses the invasive activity of cancer cell lines (Hashimoto et al, 2004; Knizhnik et al, 2012), forced expression of the ARF6-CA mutant in ADAP1-overexpressing cells reduced the invasive activity, whereas ARF6-WT did not affect (Fig 3E).
