Intriguingly, we also found that rs909253, which is predicted to alter the binding of SPIB, is associated with increased risk for myocardial infarction, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and psoriatic arthritis [10, 13, 58], suggesting that the onset of these complex diseases may be due in part to LTα expression levels.
