CRP and Pancytopenia: Initial investigations revealed pancytopenia, inversion of the albumin/globulin pattern (0.55; normal: 1.9–1.63), elevated C-reactive protein (CRP = 35; normal < 10 mg/L) and hepatosplenomegaly on ultrasonography, which also evidenced preserved parenchyma with extramedullary hematopoiesis in the liver biopsy histopathologic analysis.
