Examination of this signature transcriptome in 123 BCR-ABL/Ph+ BPL patients showed that 36 genes represented by 60 probesets that were differentially expressed in 123 BCR-ABL+ patients with P < 0.0001 [Figure 3] of which 6 transcripts (PECAM1_208982_at, PECAM1_208981_at, PECAM1_208983_s_at, ITGB1_211945_s_at, ITGB1_1553678_a_at and PAK1_226507_at) were up regulated greater than 2 fold compared to other ALL subtypes (Fold difference ranged from 2.01 to 3.64 and P-values were less than 1.0 × 10−16 for these transcripts) [Supplementary Table 3]. This evidence concerns the gene ABL1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
