First, consolidation pembrolizumab (anti-PD-1) after chemoradiation in patients with unresectable stage III NSCLC demonstrated increased 2-year PFS (44.6%) and time to metastatic disease or death (TMDD; median 22.4 months) compared to historical controls (54), but the most convincing results to date were achieved with PD-L1 inhibition. The gene discussed is PDCD1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
