The inhibition of tumor growth by Pir-PLGA NP-loaded AdSCs is attributed to the dual effect of the released pirarubicin, which has an inhibitory effect on DNA replication and secreted anti-pancreatic cancer factors, i.e., TRAIL23, transcriptional intermediary factor 1 gamma (Tif1gamma)24, and microRNA-14525,26, and from the recruited AdSCs on proliferating/apoptotic tumor and vascular cells. The gene discussed is TRIM33; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
