Currently known prognostic factors include tumour stage (according to the European Network for the study of Adrenal Tumours (ENSAT) classification) [4], resection (R) status [5, 6], Ki67 index [7] and some potential molecular biomarkers, such as vav guanine nucleotide exchange factor 2 (VAV2), topoisomerase II alpha (TOP2A) and a set of genes involved in DNA damage and regulation of cell-cycle pathways [8–11]. This evidence concerns the gene VAV2 and adrenal gland neoplasm.
