In fully adjusted models, E-Selectin was associated with increased T2D risk among study participants in the second, but not the third tertile of E-Selectin concentrations, with HRs of 2.13 (95%CI 1.38, 3.29) and 1.44 (0.93, 2.22), respectively. This evidence concerns the gene SELE and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
