Furthermore, dihydroartemisinin blocked LPS-induced upregulation of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β in IEC-6 cells, and this effect was partially blocked by administration of PI3K/AKT activator 740 Y-P (Figure 4(e)), demonstrating that dihydroartemisinin protects against colitis partially through inhibiting activation of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
