MMP9 and coronary artery disorder: A comparison of the whole study group (n = 70) with respect to the control group (n = 15) showed significantly increased TIMP-4 and decreased MMP-2 concentrations in CAD patients (p=0.011 for TIMP-4; p=0.037 for MMP-2), whereas there were no differences in MMP-9 concentration between groups (see Table 2).
