Previous studies have reported that CD90 promoted the proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma cells and hematopoietic stem cells, but inhibited the proliferation of ovarian cancer cells and nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, or even displayed opposite effects on the proliferation of fibroblasts from different tissues [31, 33, 35, 36, 54–56].
