The results demonstrated that the dysregulated genes in Huh-7 shHMGCS2 cells were enriched in pathways related to cancer progression, including TGF-β signaling pathway, tight junction, and pathways in cancer (Figure 3B; Supplementary Figures S3–S5), which implied the possibility that HMGCS2 controls cancer cell motility and growth.
