To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report about the mRNA expression profile and prognostic role of multiple FA metabolic enzymes, such as ACLY, HADHA, and ACAT1 in ccRCC simultaneously, which indicated they were potential prognostic markers of ccRCC, and FA metabolism abnormality might be involved in ccRCC tumorigenesis and progression. This evidence concerns the gene ACAT1 and nonpapillary renal cell carcinoma.
