Previously, several studies have reported that NC can act as a potent STAT3 signaling inhibitor.(6,7) Based on the results of human phospho-kinase proteome profiling, NC did not affect STAT3 signaling in the KB cell line meaning that it was not commonly related to STAT3 signaling during NC-mediated apoptosis in human cervical cancer cell lines. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
