We did observe that ADAR was expressed at significantly higher levels in the lesional skin, but there was no tendency for circRNAs with IAEs in the introns flanking their BSJs to be more downregulated than circRNAs without, which argues against upregulation of ADAR as the main mechanism responsible for downregulation of the circRNAome in psoriasis.
