NXPE2 and gastric cancer: While several associations of the NXPE2 protein with inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s disease [26], ulcerative colitis [27], and inflammatory bowel disease [28] have recently been reported, we identified discriminatory ability of the NXPE2 protein in classifying two distinct subtypes of diffuse-type GC, suggesting NXPE2 as a novel indicator predicting high-risk diffuse-type GC patients.
