Cancer-testis antigens (CTAs), which include melanoma-associated antigen-A (MAGE-A), New York esophageal squamous cell carcinoma 1 (NY-ESO-1), Cancer-testis antigen 2 (CTAG2; also known as LAGE1), and TTK protein kinase (TTK), are the best-studied TAAs and are always highly expressed in EC, especially in ESCC. Here, CTAG2 is linked to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
