A total of 240 (44.5 ± 3.6 years; M/F:118/122) clinically characterized T2DM patients, who had been on oral treatment for at least 3 months, were screened for LADA by detecting the presence of GAD65 and IA-2 autoantibodies in the serum using ELISA as the manufacturer described (Anti-GAD/IA2 pool ELISA Test, Euroimmune, Germany). The gene discussed is PTPRN; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
