This fact raises the interest of the health and scientific community to address additional tools to act as adjuvants in the treatment of obesity, some of them based on food technological modifications to induce satiety, while others through the addition of food bioactive compounds that may improve insulin signaling pathways, the regulation of adiposity, energy expenditure, and/or energy bioavailability [3].
