Much was known about the inductive impacts of LPS on various signalling pathways, such as JNK, NF‐κB and p38MAPK.29 These three pathways can be activated under cigarette stimulation, which can induce inflammatory response and drive the initiation of COPD.30, 31, 32 Thus, inhibition of p38/JNK and NF‐κB pathways has been considered as effective strategy for treating COPD. The gene discussed is NFKB1; the disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
