A multiplexed qPCR assay, using the combination of the three overexpressed genes in PCa, which are prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), PSGR and PCA3 on urine sediments from patients who were indicated for prostate biopsy, provided an improve on the predictive ability when compared to the same test using PCA3 or PSA genes alone [66]. This evidence concerns the gene PCA3 and posterior cortical atrophy.
