FZD5 and posterior cortical atrophy: Indeed, more recent works have shown an implication of WNT5A in maintaining PCa cells dormancy in bone 42 and also that lower expression of this player and its receptors FZD5 and RYK associate with improved DSS 43; however, it has also been shown that WNT5A induces castration resistant phenotype in the bone niche by interacting with macrophages 44 and that the protein SHISA2 interacts with WNT5A in mediating PCa aggressiveness 45.
