Particularly, it is well established that hepatic macrophages promote the activation and survival of hepatic stellate cells and function in the initiation and progression of liver fibrosis.11, 12 In addition, the inhibition of monoacylglycerol lipase in hepatic macrophages promotes fibrosis resolution during chronic liver injury.13 Collectively, these data indicate that targeting hepatic macrophages to control fibrosis progression may be a promising therapeutic strategy to reverse liver fibrosis. Here, MGLL is linked to Hepatic fibrosis.
