The results clearly indicated the dominant glycolysis in metastatic melanoma cells with increased lactate production through inhibiting the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) and α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase (αKDH), while increasing glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), pyruvate kinase (PK) activity (Fig. 5). Here, G6PD is linked to melanoma.
