Our pilot study showed that, when the lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells were transferred with a lentiviral expression vector of ARL14 gene, the cell cloning efficiency became very low (<5%) and the cell proliferation was almost total inhibited, indicating that the silencing ARL14 by lentivirus causes growth arrest and dormancy of lung adenocarcinoma cells. The gene discussed is ARL14; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
